Valmont Industries is finalizing a project to localize the production of VALLEY center pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan.

The production facility will be established at Imstalcon JSC. The necessary infrastructure for equipment assembly has already been prepared, while agreements have been reached with Kazakh enterprises for the manufacturing and galvanizing of selected components, increasing the level of local content.

The project’s prospects were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin and the company’s management.

According to the Government, the project has already demonstrated strong market potential. In the Karaganda Region alone, the current order portfolio includes nearly 250 center pivot irrigation systems, capable of providing irrigation for approximately 25,000 hectares of agricultural land.

Localizing production will reduce equipment delivery times, improve access to modern irrigation systems for Kazakhstan’s agricultural producers, and support the wider adoption of water-saving technologies in the agricultural sector.

In addition, a separate project is being implemented in the Almaty Region to manufacture 300 to 500 center pivot irrigation systems annually, with a total investment of US$17 million.
